After a month of use I don't think it's too much better than the battery that comes with the DS right out of the box. But in a way, having another battery like the Power Pro DOES double your play time because when your first battery goes dead you can just swap it with your charged-up Power Pro battery. A second battery comes in handy when you're unable to recharge your original battery, like when you're traveling for a long time and don't have access to a wall outlet. The Power Pro comes with a screwdriver, so it's easy to pull out your spare battery and swap it for the dead battery. If you're worried that a battery swap will lose your WI-FI settings and personal preferences, have no fear. That personal info isn't stored on the battery, so you can't lose it.
