I have three Ikea 12V lamps pointed to 3 plants in my windowless office room, and those three plants living off of these three lamps (and the fluorescent lamps in the day time) for past 6 months or so. They are not extremely happy without sunlight. But they are surviving with the yellowish light produce by these bulbs.Replacement g4 bulb costs more than $3 in Ikea and they last the same amount of hours as these - roughly 350 hours or so.
